WorldWide Photowalk 2017

Welcome to the WorldWide Photowalk in Old Town Pasadena on Saturday, October 7th!  Although I have participated in other photo walks over the years, this is my first time leading this walk and I’m very excited.

We’ll be walking the streets of Old Town Pasadena in pursuit of some stunning photography.  The great opportunity of this photo walk is to share photos and perspectives, socialize with others with a common interest and have a lot of fun along the way.  We’ll start at Pasadena City Hall which offers a stunning array of photographic possibilities. We’ll then head westward toward Old Town and visit some of the many alleys and historic buildings that Pasadena offers.  We’ll end our photo walk at Paseo Colorado where we can share our photos, share experiences, and grab some food and drink.

Although I’m not a professional photographer, I’d like to say that I’m experienced in travel, architecture, landscape and food photography.  I own several cameras and try to stay abreast of all the new technologies that abound.  This walk invites photographers of all types whether you’re a DSLR or mirrorless fan, a point and shoot enthusiast or a camera phone devotee – you’re all invited!

Just a few tips…. I’ll make sure to scout out the available parking around City Hall and offer some choices as our date approaches.  The Gold Line Metro is also a great choice for anyone outside of Pasadena.  Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and some water as we’ll be walking 1-2 miles over the course of the morning – we’ll have plenty of stops along the way.  Also, review all of your camera requirements before that morning – battery levels, memory cards, camera bags, etc.  Just make sure that you’re comfortable.

I look forward to hosting and leading a large group for this exciting event.  Please pass this information along to anyone who you think might be interested.  I’ll also be providing more details about the walk as we approach October 7th.  Thanks so much for your interest and I look forward to meeting you.
